Greenfield Bridge/Parkway Closure

The Beechwood Boulevard Bridge (often called The Greenfield Bridge) is being dismantled and replaced.

The old bridge closed on Friday, October 16, 2015.

The contractor is now dismantling much of the bridge deck and architectural features. The remaining structure will be imploded (boom!) on one of these three days: December 28, 29 or 30.

A new bridge will be built in its place, slated to open mid-2017. The approved cost of the new bridge: $15,500,000. Demolition: $2,000,000.
